Yesterday, on the occasion of International Peace Day (21 September), we participated in the First Ibero-American Meeting of Regional Centres for Education for Sustainable Development (RCEs), held at the University of Deusto. It was an inspiring day in which we shared experiences and projects that, from different corners of the world, seek to move towards a more just, sustainable and connected future.
This meeting was made possible thanks to the work of Iñaki Hernáiz and Sergio Caballero, with the collaboration of UN Etxea. We were also joined by Claudia Carlotto, representing the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo (Argentina).
We heard about a wide range of proposals from RCE Bogotá, RCE Galicia, RCE Portugal and RCE Lima-Callao, and among them, the project presented by Andoni Arenas from Chile caught our attention: Interactive Map of Climate and Environmental Change (MICA),
There was also room for local initiatives with a strong human component, such as Musika eta Zure Begirada from ECIVIS, or the Namana Project from the NGO Agua de Coco, which reminded us of the transformative power of education, culture and solidarity.
On behalf of Elkartenet, we had the opportunity to present our association and the Aulas Sin Fronteras (Classrooms Without Borders) project, highlighting the value of technological reuse, the circular economy and the use of free software, especially through our TxikiLinux operating system.
Experience has shown that it is possible to generate synergies between very different projects, joining forces and building networks that focus on people and their right to inclusive and sustainable education.
At Elkartenet, we continue to believe that purposeful technology and solidarity-based cooperation are key to reducing the digital divide and moving towards a world without borders.

Atzo, Bakearen Nazioarteko Eguna zela eta (irailak 21), Garapen Jasangarrirako Hezkuntza Eskualde Zentroen Iberoamerikako I. Topaketan parte hartu genuen, Deustuko Unibertsitatean. Jardunaldi inspiratzailea izan zen, eta esperientziak eta proiektuak partekatu genituen, munduko hainbat txokotatik etorkizun bidezkoago, jasangarriago eta konektatuago baterantz aurrera egitea bilatzen dutenak.
Topaketa hau Iñaki Hernáiz eta Sergio Caballeroren lanari esker gauzatu da, UN Etxearen laguntzarekin. Claudia Carlotto ere bertan izan zen, Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo (Argentina) elkartearen izenean.
RCE Bogota, RCE Galicia, RCE Portugal edo RCE Lima-Callao bezalako proposamen anitzak ezagutu genituen, eta horien artean Andoni Arenasek Txiletik aurkeztutako proiektua nabarmendu zitzaigun: Klima-Ingurumen Aldaketaren Mapa Interaktiboa (MICA),
Giza osagai indartsua duten tokiko ekimenentzako lekua ere egon zen, hala nola ECIVISen Musika eta Zure Begirada, edo Agua de Coco GKEren Namana Proiektua, hezkuntzaren, kulturaren eta elkartasunaren botere eraldatzailea gogorarazi zigutenak.
Elkartenet ordezkatuz, gure elkartea eta Mugarik Gabeko Ikasgelak proiektua aurkezteko aukera izan genuen, berrerabilpen teknologikoaren balioa, ekonomia zirkularra eta software librearen erabilera nabarmenduz, bereziki gure TxikiLinux sistema eragilearen bidez. Esperientziak erakutsi zuen posible dela proiektu oso desberdinen artean sinergiak sortzea, indarrak batuz eta sareak eraikiz, pertsonak eta hezkuntza inklusibo eta jasangarrirako duten eskubidea erdigunean jartzen dituztenak.
Elkartenet-en uste dugu asmo oneko teknologia eta lankidetza solidarioa funtsezkoak direla eten digitala murrizteko eta mugarik gabeko mundu baterantz aurrera egiteko.

Hier, à l’occasion de la Journée internationale de la paix (21 septembre), nous avons participé à la première rencontre ibéro-américaine des centres régionaux d’éducation au développement durable (RCEs), qui s’est tenue à l’université de Deusto. Ce fut une journée inspirante au cours de laquelle nous avons partagé des expériences et des projets qui, depuis différents coins du monde, cherchent à avancer vers un avenir plus juste, plus durable et plus connecté.
Cette rencontre a été rendue possible grâce au travail d’Iñaki Hernáiz et Sergio Caballero, avec la collaboration de UN Etxea. Claudia Carlotto, représentant les Grands-mères de la place de Mai (Argentine), était également présente.
Nous avons découvert des propositions aussi diverses que celles du RCE Bogotá, du RCE Galicia, du RCE Portugal ou du RCE Lima-Callao, parmi lesquelles celle présentée par Andoni Arenas depuis le Chili a particulièrement retenu notre attention : la carte interactive du changement climatique et environnemental (MICA).
Il y avait également de la place pour des initiatives locales à forte composante humaine, telles que Musika eta Zure Begirada d’ECIVIS ou le projet Namana de l’ONG Agua de Coco, qui nous ont rappelé le pouvoir transformateur de l’éducation, de la culture et de la solidarité.
Au nom d’Elkartenet, nous avons eu l’occasion de présenter notre association et le projet Aulas Sin Fronteras(Classes sans frontières), en soulignant l’importance de la réutilisation technologique, de l’économie circulaire et de l’utilisation de logiciels libres, notamment grâce à notre système d’exploitation TxikiLinux. L’expérience a démontré qu’il est possible de créer des synergies entre des projets très différents, en unissant nos forces et en construisant des réseaux qui placent les personnes et leur droit à une éducation inclusive et durable au centre.
Chez Elkartenet, nous continuons à croire que la technologie à but précis et la coopération solidaire sont essentielles pour réduire la fracture numérique et progresser vers un monde sans frontières.

Ayer, con motivo del Día Internacional de la Paz (21 de septiembre), participamos en el I Encuentro Iberoamericano de Centros Regionales Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible (RCEs), celebrado en la Universidad de Deusto. Fue una jornada inspiradora en la que compartimos experiencias y proyectos que, desde diferentes rincones del mundo, buscan avanzar hacia un futuro más justo, sostenible y conectado.
Este encuentro ha sido realidad gracias al trabajo dde Iñaki Hernáiz y Sergio Caballero con la colaboración de UN Etxea. También contmos con la presencia de Claudia Carlotto, en representación de las Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo (Argentina).
Conocimos propuestas tan diversas como las del RCE Bogotá, RCE Galicia, RCE Portugal o el RCE Lima-Callao, y entre ellas nos llamó la atención el proyecto presentado por Andoni Arenas desde Chile: Mapa Interactivo del Cambio Climático-Ambiental (MICA),
También hubo espacio para iniciativas locales con un fuerte componente humano, como Musika Zure Begirada de ECIVIS, o el Proyecto Namana, de la ONG Agua de Coco, que nos recordaron el poder transformador de la educación, la cultura y la solidaridad.
En representación de Elkartenet, tuvimos la oportunidad de presentar nuestra asociación y el proyecto Aulas Sin Fronteras, destacando el valor de la reutilización tecnológica, la economía circular y el uso del software libre, especialmente a través de nuestro sistema operativo TxikiLinux. La experiencia demostró que es posible generar sinergias entre proyectos muy distintos, sumando fuerzas y construyendo redes que ponen en el centro a las personas y su derecho a una educación inclusiva y sostenible.
En Elkartenet seguimos creyendo que la tecnología con propósito y la cooperación solidaria son claves para reducir la brecha digital y avanzar hacia un mundo sin fronteras.
