Nouakchott
Description of the Nouakchott Project: The Aulas Sin Fronteras project in Nouakchott aims to provide classrooms in the region with reused IT materials and Linux operating systems adapted to Education, and to provide training to local teachers to incorporate digital tools into their teaching. It also aims to promote environmental sustainability through reuse and the circular economy.
In response to a request for cooperation from neighbor Mohamed Lemine Khattraty of the Mauritanian La Khayma Association of Bizkaia, to provide digital equipment for teachers and students to schools in Nouakchott.
The project consists of collecting and refurbishing unused computer equipment in the schools and institutes of our Community, Osakidetza and several collaborating companies.
Mission: The mission of the Nouakchott Classrooms Without Borders project is to improve the quality of education in the region by introducing digital tools and training local teachers, promoting sustainability and the reuse of IT equipment.
Goals:
• Equipping classrooms in the Nouakchott region with reused computer equipment. computer equipment redesigned and with Linux operating systems adapted to Education
• Provide training to local teachers to incorporate digital tools in their teaching and improve the quality of education in the region.
• Promoting sustainability and the circular economy through the reuse of computer equipment.
• Establishing a re-use preparation center in Nouakchott, where local technicians can repair and refurbish computer equipment provided by Elkartenet and anywhere in the world.
